School Tales: Darndest Things

On my personal life:
Ryan: "Ms. K, HOW is it possible that you aren't married??"

Alondra: "Do you have a boyfriend today, Ms. K?"

Chauncey: "Are you going to teach here next year?"
Me: "Well, Chauncey, that's a great question that I don't know the answer to yet"
Chauncey: "Well if you do, will you be my date to the 8th grade dance?

On why they pester me about my relationship status:
Cassandra: "It's because we care about you. I mean, Ms. K, you're OLD. You're like 25 and... you don't have any babies. AND, you don't have a novio"
Zainab: "Yeah Ms. K. We don't want you to be all alone"
