City Blues...and why I am moving

It took me 2 hours to drive the whopping 26 miles from my school to M.D. Anderson to visit my dad. No kidding: left the school at 3:15, arrived at 5:17. I might as well have taken a covered wagon to get there. After that drive, I had to repent of a few things.

Top 10 Reasons I am leaving city life behind:
1) I despise shopping.
2) I despise other cars.
3) I am claustrophobic.
4) I do not like noise.
5) I like wide open spaces.
6) I'd rather not hear my neighbor's conversations.
7) I like trees.
8) I'd like to try my hand at gardening.
9) I'd like to have time to try my hand at gardening.
10) I like to hear the bugs at night during the summer. (Do you know what I'm talking about? I think they are cicadas or something)

Moving, you ask? Well, this is all wishful thinking. Not any time soon. Someday, perhaps.

In other news, my parents recently bought a few acres near Huffman on which to build their "dream house". Lots of trees, privacy, peace & quiet...a veritable utopia. It is adjacent to some land my dad's brother just bought. Very exciting!
