Today was a supremely good day. No reason in particular. Nothing earth-shattering happened. It was the satisfying little things:
-sunshiney weather outside
-drank a large, cold glass of milk at breakfast and dinner
-got some great feedback from my ACP instructor
-went on a walk
-6th period had a cooking lab today; no foul-play and a good time was had by all
-crossed a few things off my alleged "TO DO" list
-had my formal evaluation today (the one where the principal watches you teach an entire class period) and it went really well ("awesome" was the principal's exact descriptor)
-ate Greek salad
-didn't have to banish any of my students to the principal's office
-random emails from random friends
-my little mechanically-savvy student, Chauncey, repaired my broken class lock
-the radio stations played some great songs on the (park 'n')ride home
...AND, at this particular moment in time, I have no urgent grad school/ACP assignments over which to be laboring. A stellar day, indeed.
p.s. 3 days and counting until YOU KNOW WHAT!!

yay for great days!
"melissa actually answered her phone."
would that have made the list if I had done so yesterday??
no, that would fall under the category "miraculous" or "hell freezes over".
