Hamdu-llah it is a blessing to have a community here!! I didn't expect this! On Sunday mornings there is a 'house' where we can meet. There are many wonderful people who gather at the first: Canadians, South Africans, Americans, and New Zealanders with a Spanish translation for the several Venezuelans and Mexicans as well. Probably 150 people.
The second is for French-speakers and is made up of West Africans. The people are definitely on African time because very few were there when it started, but the place was near capacity after awhile. Leslie and I attended it this morning. The music is incredible. The people are full of joy! IT IS ALIVE!!
On Sunday nights there is a party we attend...the kind where we sing some songs, read our Books, and ask our Boss for things. These parties are in a beautiful apartment in the middle of an old part of town. The street noise below and call to prayer drift up as our songs and petitions are lifted to the heavens.
Throughout the endless ages
You will be crowned with Praises
L_rd most high
Exalted in every nation
Sovereign of all creation
L_rd most high
Be magnified
