Hamdu-llah!

I had a Hamdu-llah moment today: I can now get back into my favorite SIZE 2 camel-colored pants. AND my cute, strapless dress that I need to wear to a wedding this weekend. No need to lay down on my bed to try to force the pants on either! Not only can I squeeze into the garments, but there is plenty of room to spare in both. Yesssss! I have long awaited this day...

Sometime last year I packed on 15 lbs. I don't know how, why or when. I was busy. I was tired. I was sad. I was lazy. I had lots of excuses. It was as if I sneezed and gained a ton of weight. And let me remind you that a little extra baggage is rather substantial on a small person. Initially, I became overly concerned about my eating and exercise habits. But, the more I obsessed and the harder I worked, the SLOWER the weight came off. When I finally stopped worrying about it (not to mention walking 10 miles/day in Morocco) the pounds started peeling themselves off me. AMAZING.

Five pounds left to go! Not only will I be back to my freshman weight, but then I'll get to buy my favorite Marc Jacobs fragrance again. I've held off for the past year in hopes that I would lose the weight soon and reward myself. Who knew it would take this long?!

Not really, but I hate you, you size 2!!! Oh, to be young and skinny again. But hey, I'm beginning to like what weight I am right now. Of course, I still wouldn't mind losing some extra weight. I guess walking 10,000 steps a day really does work. I have to say though, since I've been taking my belly dance class, my clothes are fitting better. Not quite as tight. Good for you girl. You go!
