What's Wrong With Me?!: The Ectothermia Edition.

Otherwise known as a cold-blooded creatures, ectotherms are (according to Wiki) "presumed to be incapable of maintaining their body temperatures at all, 'slaves' to their environments. Whatever the environmental temperature was, so too was their body temperature."

I am an ectotherm. Shall I present the evidence?

*I freeze in sub-85 degree F temps.
*My power bills average $30/month...in the summer- I do not run the AC.
*I did, however, have to fire up the space heaters (BOTH of them) this past week in order to survive the frigid 60-degree F night chill. I snuggled beneath my down comforter and an additional fleece blanket, clad in fleece pants, long sleeve shirt, and knee socks. Even still, I froze to death.
*While running at the gym on the treadmill in long pants, long sleeve shirt, and fleece jacket, I could not get warm. Shivering, I was miserable for the entire 35 minutes. WHILE RUNNING.

Homeostasis- what a crock!

And I on the other hand, am always hot! I sweat in my classroom and cool off when I walk over to yours. I can't wait to switch rooms!
