This week (through the upcoming Monday) is National Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child, one of my favorite personal holiday traditions. I look forward to packing shoe boxes each year! As described on the website, the purpose of this ministry is to bring "joy and hope to children in desperate through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God's love." It is individuals like you and I who pack shoe boxes with small gifts such as school supplies, toys, and personal items to be shipped all over the world in time for Christmas. I encourage you to "pack a shoebox" for OCC this year as there are still 4 remaining donation days in National Collection Week.
HOW TO PACK A SHOEBOX:
1) Determine the gender and age (2-4, 5-9, 10-14 years) of the child for which you will pack a shoe box.
2) Find a shoebox.
3) Fill the shoebox with gifts for the child.
4) Print out the mailing label.
5) Pay the donation cost.
6) Drop your shoebox off at one of many nationwide locations.
