Briana created an improv rap (or whatever it is) about me and left it on my chalkboard:
"Ms. K is sweet
& sassy small but
classy got curves
in da waist and she
carries good taste.
Don't mess w/ her she's GHETTO"
-I LUV U, Miss Kay. From Bree and yo 3rd period class!
"Curves in da waist?", I inquired. "Hmmmm...gross. That sounds like I have a Santa Claus belly."
"OH NO, Miss K. It just mean that yo hips don't lie. You got them Beyonce curves. It's a good thang."
Oh, well, thank goodness.

Hips don't lie - that's a GOOD thing
Let's hope you listen to a third grader more than you usually listen to me on this subject....
How about this...
One my students raised her hand and said very seriously, "Ms.McGoldrick, you look like you are in high school."
Ummm. Not what we are discussing at the moment but okay.
Then another student raised his hand and said "Ms. McGoldrick, actually, you look like you're in middle school."
Put your hands down! No more talking! I will wear makeup tomorrow and burn this outfit! And we need to work on the definition of a good compliment.
Oooh girl, I see the way you swing those hips in the hallway. You are a fox!
