Maghreb #27

Nighttime in Djemma el-Fna, Marrakech
Orange juice, anyone? Ordering OJ in Morocco goes something like this: "Asir d'limon, afek". Surely this was one of the first and most trusty phrases I uttered in darija as freshly-squeezed OJ was one of my (many) guilty pleasures in Morocco. The oranges are squeezed to order, and a tall, refreshing glass is available everywhere for pennies (or I should say dirhams). Now, I am neither a frequent OJ consumer, nor connoisseur, but this was unbelievably tasty. I would even venture to employ the "Out-of-this-world" hyperbole as an accurate descriptor. With all certainty I can declare that fresh-squeezed OJ in Morocco supercedes Tropicana.
