Maghreb #53

Djemma el-Fna, Marrakech.
This world-famous square is located in the medina (old city). The plaza is lined with souks, North African shops. During the day, orange juice stalls predominate with numerous snake charmers and showmen with Barbery apes beckoning tourists. Nighttime, brings an influx of Moroccans and tourists alike to sample traditional fare peddled from numerous food stalls and to witness, perhaps, the greatest show on earth: storytellers, acrobats, dancers, magicians, and traditional healers.
