Pharmacist Assistant: "Okay, here is your pack of the 5-pills for the live typhoid vaccination. Umm, the pharmacist says she'll need to watch you take all of the pills."
Me: Are you kidding?
P.A.: "No, this is a live vaccine."
Me: (laughing hysterically) So, you're telling me I need to drive up here every day this week just so you can watch me swallow a pill?
P.A.: "Yes."
Me: (more hysterical laughter) You know, I just don't think it's that serious.
At this point, the P.A. leaves the window to confer with the pharmacist, who returns to the window in the mood to negotiate with me.
Pharmacist: "Okay, if you will promise me that you'll refrigerate your pills..."
Me: Uhhhhhhh, okay?
Pharmacist: "You won't leave them out of the refrigerator over 30 minutes, and..."
Me: AND?
Pharmacist: "And you promise to take one each day this week..."
Me: Yes?
Pharmacist: "Then I'll only need to watch you take the first pill."
Me: DEAL!
Ridiculous.

if you didn't look so much like a drug dealer then you wouldn't have this problem.
umm yes dear old pharmacies... It took me a while to get the idea through to them that I needed all 12 refills of my birth control meds filled at one time. Ah the joys! Not much time left--how are you doing?
