Two

Though it feels like two years and though I may have aged two decades, today marks two months of residence in Egypt. Wow! Much has happened and many lessons have been learned in this small window of time. There have been adjustments aplenty. I've come to expect everything to go wrong, break, take longer than it "should" or be done in the most backwards, illogical fashion possible (in my culturally-biased opinion, of course :). Through these "joys"of life in a third world country, God has been teaching me there is no circumstance in which I am unable to praise Him; and when I cease to praise Him, I become frustrated and irritable. It seems as if these sorts of experiences are purposed to file down our rough edges a bit. He is certainly developing a patient and gentle spirit in me. I am thankful for this. Truly I have learned to lean on Him more in the past two months than in the 27 years previous. The challenges, notwithstanding; the ebb and flow of life here reminds me each day how blessed I am to take part in this adventure.

I've noticed in both today's blog and yesterday's, that you are using a few more "quotation marks" than normal. Although it brings to mind the unnecessary quotation marks blog (which you brought to my attention; see link below), I know that your qm's are "really" necessary to get the "meaning" across!

the "quotes" are "vital".

I told Luke I'm gonna send in a picture to that blog of the mobile home sign near the highway:
We Will "Not" Be Undersold

Keep the Egypt thoughts coming!
