So here I am blogging by the Sea of Galilee...day 6 of a 9-day jaunt through Israel and the West Bank. So far, I've seen the places where Jesus was born, grew up, began His ministry, died, was buried, and ascended into heaven. Jerusalem has been the definite highlight for me where I prayed at the Western (Wailing) Wall, attended a Shabbat (sabbath) service, ate the world's most delicious bagels, photo-stalked numerous Orthodox Jews, walked the city, and discussed religion with a rabbi. Jerusalem is a very meaningful and beautiful city. I was sad to leave. We've spent the last two nights here in Tiberias. Today we drove through Galilee, stopping through Capernaum and the Mount of Beatitudes, before heading to the Golan Heights where I stood atop the mountain and gazed into Syria and Lebanon. Tomorrow, we'll drive all the way to Mas'ada, stopping to float on the Dead Sea. Pics to come...
