One of my students- who prefers to be referred to as "Eric"- despises my "Ladies First" policy in class. Recently, he was complaining about the injustice of such a policy and advocated for an upcoming "Men's Day" or something of that nature in class. Of course, I told him that every day is gentlemen's day in this country and asked him what his idea of a men's day would entail. His response (and I quote): "Women in the kitchen, pregnant, doing dishes, and making me (Eric) lunch."
I told him to look up the word "chauvinist" for homework.
