Saffron is the name of an exceptional, unique Moroccan restaurant my incredibly thoughtful father took me to for dinner last night! Thanks Daddy!! It is a dining experience I highly recommend. The decor and ambience are A-mazing. Adorned with Moroccan rugs, screens, mosaics, lanterns, sheer linens, and couches, Saffron resembles a Moroccan den rather than a restaurant. They even have belly dancing on certain days of the week.

The cuisine did not disappoint either. We enjoyed a kettle of Moroccan mint tea, salads, and our entrees. My dad had a huge platter of chicken and vegetables over couscous and I had lamb tagine (pronounced tah-zheen) with artichoke hearts and sweet peas. It was so good, I have been craving it today :)
For all of you Houstonians who are interested, the restaurant is located in Montrose/Lower Shepherd: 2006 Lexington (77098).
