Tagged!

Abby tagged me! I actually think these things are fun to fill out...

1. What were you doing 10 years ago? In high school: probably fighting with my mom, partying it up, and acting the fool.

2. What were you doing 5 years ago? Senior year of college (the 1st one :) at A&M: football games & good times with the mininum amount of studying possible... and preparing to move to Washington DC that Spring as a congressional intern.

3. What were you doing 1 year ago? A new teacher: working long hours, trying to navigate a new profession on my own; studying for the R.D. exam; sleeping, crying, and generally miserable over my dad's sickness.

4. What did you do yesterday? Went to work, bought groceries for the cooking labs, had my classes clean their kitchens, picked 3 students to mentor this year, disciplined children, went to a professional development class, listened to a grad school lecture, worked on practice math problems for my certification exam, pondered my grad school paper that is due next week, thought happy, excited thoughts about my French classes that start this week :), talked on the phone to a couple friends, ran my 3 miles, read my Bible, realized I left my wallet (with the school district's credit card) sitting on my desk at school, prayed that I would find my wallet with everything intact exactly where I left it on my desk.

5. Snacks I enjoy ... plain yogurt- the Greek strained kind only; cold, green grapes; milk; pickles; sweet potatoes; omelets; toasted pecans; olives; sautéed cabbage; dates; trail mix!!

6. Things I would do with $100 million dollars ... pay off my grad school loans, pay my dad back for stuff, buy some land and build my own house, save a bunch, invest a bunch, move to France and go to chef school, buy my mom a grand piano, take care of my family in style :), buy Miss Humphrey some school supplies, become a professional photographer, give the rest away.

7. Locations I would run to ... Where wouldn't I go? the Greek Isles; Switzerland; a safari, Lebanon, Egypt, and the holy land; Iceland; Patagonia; Vietnam; Bora Bora

8. Bad habits I have ... I snooze my alarm for an hour every day, I am generally late and disorganized (working on it), I over-commit myself, I talk too much, and jump to conclusions.

9. Things I like to do: spend time with my family, cook for others, travel to new places, exercise! (run, rock-climb, swim, and lift weights), read, go camping, be by myself and think, play with my camera, play the piano, have good conversations, take a road-trip.

10. Biggest joy of the moment: Christ's sufficiency
