The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.

Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company ... a church ... a home.

The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable.

The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude ... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me, and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you ... we are in charge of our Attitudes.

The day did redeem itself. Third period called me out on my rotten attitude and I had to claim it, to own up to it, in a highly humbling, purifying moment in front of the class... Those are good moments.

Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.

I was blessed to receive the news TODAY that I passed my teacher certification exam with a good margin...

I finally mustered the courage to have difficult conversation #1 (more on this later- can't elaborate now). God blessed me tremendously and allowed my request from this individual to be granted. I received far more than I prayed for or expected :) Although I allowed my doubts to choke out my faith in the One who orchestrates all circumstances, I was blessed beyond measure through this particular situation. What grace. "Amazing grace...and grace my fears relieved"

The Lord has promis’d good to me,
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures.
