Exactly two months until Christmas so why do I have it on the brain lately? *I've jumped head first into Christmas tunes. No idea why. It's not like I've been subjected to premature Christmas decorations in stores or the barrage of shopping/holiday advertisements. There is nary a chill in the Cairo air. Perhaps I am simply missing home a bit.
*I will visit Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Galilee and Nazareth in a little over a month...two weeks before Christmas!
*Christmas Day will be spent away from family for the first time. Sad thought.
*BUT, I will celebrate Christmas in Paris- visiting an old friend with a new friend. I'm thankful I will be in a place where Christmas is not just another day.

Christmas in Paris sounds luxurious...I know the feeling though. Decorations are going up all over here, and I'm trying to come to terms with the idea that the weather we have today will essentially be the weather we have on Christmas. Added to the fact that I will now be in charge of my own Christmas activities. It's liberating and depressing all at the same time...
Christmas has been on my brain too!! I played Christmas music for my students yesterday and they thought I was crazy. I want to put up my Christmas tree and I so wish we were going to NYC when they have the city decorated.
I am excited that you will be in Paris!!!
Christmas in Paris. COOL! I have been singing a few Christmas songs myself, lately. Guess it's all the commercialization going on here. Although with the economy the way it is, many people will not be celebrating as lavishly as in the past, or if at all. There are several people I know who have been laid off.
Christmas break in Israel sounds awesome - those are places everyone should see. Christmas without family can be sad, but hopefully, being in Paris with friends will smooth it over. <3
We got a Harry & David catalog in the mail a few weeks ago - it made me so hyper excited about the holidays! Just to screw with him, I told Dad we should put up the all the Christmas crap last weekend when Luke was home. He was a lot calmer than I thought he would be, considering he's the one who laid down the whole No-Mention-of-Anything-Christmas-Related-Until-After-Thanksgiving Law (Of which all the Kinisons are well aware).
I'm pretty jealous of the whole Paris thing.... I should probably go repent...
