...was underwhelming. I "voted" absentee-style on Sunday which consisted of filling out my paper ballot and walking down a flight of stairs to the school director's office. A driver came for the ballots on Monday transporting them to the American embassy which footed the postage costs. As I hand-delivered my ballot to the school director- who shook my hand and thanked me for doing my part to preserve the great American democracy- the most wonderful, warm fuzzy feeling washed over me. With freedom's light illuminating my visage, I ambled back to my classroom, satisfied that my voice was "heard" since every vote "counts".
Yes, Dad. The "quotation marks" are intentional and foundational to the correct interpretation of this post.

I voted today. It was pretty exciting. And the people watching while standing in line was great. One guy's shirt read "The more I learn about the government, the more I like my guns." Steph and I had a good laugh about that. Hmm, wonder who he voted for?
Ha Ha. That's great. Princess, I am so "proud" of you!
I am so glad that you took the time to be a responsible American citizen! I voted early on Wednesday and there were some interesting characters there!!
I voted today (Friday). Lots of people in line but only took about 15-20 minutes.
I voted today, too. It went very smoothly. Not too many people in line.
Aunt Kay
I'm planning on "voting" later this "week".... :D I'm loving all the extraneous quotation marks!
It really is a shame you had to leave when you did. You've missed the period of time when the campaigning reaches its most shrill & vitriolic stages. And I think we can all agree, there's just no sense in having an election unless we can all get royally pissed off about it all!
