Esophagitis Sequel

After a week of searing chest pain, starvation, mouth lesions, weight loss (the silver lining), and dehydration, today I felt like I am finally on the mend! This came just in the nick of time, too. The school doctor- having seen me three times in the past week with nary an improvement- just yesterday had referred me to a gastro-enterologist here and had strongly recommended I have an upper endoscopy. Do you know what the only thing more horrific than undergoing a medical procedure in this country? Having a medical procedure involving ANESTHESIA in this country.

Oh my gosh! Thank God that you're starting to improve! A more involved procedure would have been a little scary and probably pretty inconvenient.

We're gonna miss you so much this Thanksgiving. Love you.

Perfect timing - not only avoiding anesthesia in a foreign country but now able to eat freely a Thanksgiving feast - at least including sour cream pound cake! Take care dear one
