School Tales: I am a C, I am a C-H...

So today one of my students was terribly off-task during independent work on a project. He began polling students to determine their religious affiliation- whether they are Muslim or Christian- and then making a mockery of and harassing the Christians. So that's where I got involved: "Ahmed, it's probably not a good idea to start a campaign of religious bigotry in the class with the teacher who is a CHRISTIAN. Now, is there anything else you wanted to say about Christians? ....No?.... Probably a better idea would be to work on your project. I dunno... just a helpful hint from me to you."

And you could hear a pin drop.

Now I know the secret to hush my class instantaneously...simply drop the C-word.
