I have fielded the "Are you going to get married" question around 5 times in the past 2 days as well as numerous tidbits of unsolicited advice to improve my personal life. Only God knows why this matter unsettles their young minds during our lesson on mortgages, buyer's markets, and property taxes. Perhaps they have Valentine's Day on the brain.
Let me replay various scenarios, in no particular order:
Student: "Are you going to get married, Ms. K?"
Me: "How would I know?"
Student: "You might not get married?? Ms. K, you don't want to get married?!! Do you want to be lonely your whole life??"
Me: "Whaaat?"
Student: "Don't you hate being alone on Valentine's Day?"
Me: "There are 125 of y'all. I am hardly alone."
Student: "Why do you live by yourself? That's so weird. You should get a boyfriend so you have someone to live with"
Me to class: "WHY IS MY PERSONAL LIFE YOUR BUSINESS?!!"
Student: "Because it is!!"
Round and round we go.

Tag! You're it! Here are the instructions (see my blog for an example :) ):
"Each person who gets tagged needs to write a blog post telling 6 weird things about them self... as well as clearly state the rules. After you state your 6 weird things, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Also, leave a comment on thier blog telling them that they have been tagged."
