The Stream, Part 1

Not much blogging time lately, so this will be more like a stream of consciousness...

*Less than 3 weeks until the big event :) Still so much to do, lots of shopping, reading, packing, not to mention house cleaning. Who likes to come back from an extended "vacation" to a disaster?! I'm feeling a little uneasy about it all, but trying not to fret.

*Spent 7 murderous hours at the mall on Saturday. Let me just establish that I despise shopping. I am currently in quest of Morocco-appropriate attire: long skirts, loose & long shirts. If you have curves, are short, OR BOTH- this is nearly impossible ;)

*As far as support-raising, I am 76% there!! Awesome awesome awesome!! It's been a little slower-going lately, but just when I am discouraged God reminds me through the generosity of others that it will all be taken care of!

*Mitzi and I are planning the Morocco end of our vacation complete with a trek to the Sahara desert, camping in nomad, goatshair tents, and riding around on a camel to the dunes. Ohhhhhh yeahhhhhhhhhhhh

*A verse from the old hymn 'Praise to the Lord the Almighty' really speaks to me lately:

Praise to the Lord, who over all things so wondrously reigneth,
Shelters thee under His wings, yea, so gently sustaineth!
Hast thou not seen how thy desires ever have been
Granted in what He ordaineth?
